Just as a reminder, I made very little and superficial modifications to the NIX "original" code to make it compile on 9legacy---once more, it is not a "9legacy is better than 9front" or whatever: NIX was new to me so I wanted to first try to understand a little before trying to contribute; I took the shortest path to get NIX. So with: https://github.com/tlaronde/nix there is a version that compiles without ado, the how to get it is in the README.md . The only problem is to find a multicores to run on. There are cheap x86 ones (not the desired hardware target for me) but IOMMU comes in the way. I have a RISC-V board too, but then there is the problem of getting NIX on RISC-V first and then to fight with the board.
