In acme directory windows (p9p),
I have come to find it useful to put something of the form
/\n\n/+1, <{...}
in the top line(s),
followed by at least one blank line;
to be used in a chord with the Edit in the tag.At the dots I put, say, a recursive grep command (also rga for PDF and the like), or ls with relevant flags or with a pipe to grep. Often I have a number of consecutive lines like that, with frequently used commands, including just ls to restore the original list. It avoids cluttering up the tag itself, expanding it too much, or creating a new window. This is useful when having many tags in a column. Unlike tags, such lines are not preserved by Dump though.
