Evening all :).

As far as I know, my gmail settings for this account are correct (just
rechecked them), and set to delete email once it's been picked up by POP.

But for some reason, that setting isn't working. Gmail is keeping all
my emails, not archiving them, just not deleting them.

First, Thunderbird picks up emails. Gmail doesn't delete the ones that
have been picked up. Then Thunderbird reads that there are no more
emails in gmail, which is wrong.

I have to go in manually to gmail online, and clear out the emails, and
then Tbird might or might not start picking up again. Sometimes I must
manually delete several pages of emails, so it's frustrating.

This used to happen ever so often, but now it's pretty much every day.
I am about ready to clean out several online.

Why is this happening? I wonder - is it because I'm on dialup, and gmail
is losing the message from Thunderbird that the emails have been picked
up? That's the only thing I can think of, and it doesn't seem right.
But stranger things have happened.

Thanks
Theresa
