Thanks Donk, You have pointed me in the right direction. I found "Enhanced USB Controller" in the Device Manager, which shows it to be USB 2.0. The keyword is "Enhanced". So I plugged in a memory stick into a rear USB socket, and it took 2m 22s to transfer a file 1,688,461 Kb. I plugged it into a front socket and the same file showed me 32 minutes!! Though I didn't wait for it to happen!! Probably time for a new computer....... Regards, John
