David,

For the most part, apps written for 7.5 will also work with 7.2. If the app in question relies on new features found in 7.5, however, such as the Quick Start Wizard, it cannot be made to run in earlier versions. By and large, this should not pose a problem.

Regards,
Steve

Maybe good to ring out a small reminder here. For all you app providers,
keep in mind, that not everyone has even got the chance of upgrading
yet. The non-English users for instace, have not got anything close to
an upgrade. Our local dealer has not even mentioned the fact that 7.5 is
around, and if I have to go for what has been the case for other
upgrades - we likely won't hear anything for several months. The
standard locally seems to be about six months. It might bee of the
app-authors interest, I'd think, that their apps should work for as many
users as possible. Hopefully most of the authors, will keep supporting
7.2 for a few more months, leaving the world that happens to be outside
the privileged ones, a chance of following up.

That depends on the app's author. Several of the GW Micro authored
apps are for 7.5 and up, but they also indicate as much when they're
    run by older versions.

If we only have 7.2 and are there till we can affored to upgrade,
does that mean that we no longer update our apps?? Or that if we
DO update them we won't be able to use them? Thanks, Doreen
