Slackware 7.0 on Intel Pentium. Not so clean as to
provide binaries from Slackware ( I don't have the
Gnome installation provided with my distribution but
rather compiled from source tarballs, I'm afraid ), 
but I haven't upgraded any of the gnu development 
tools distributed with it.
