Hi Steve,
The .CRASHED file should contain the contents of your document up to that point. You should be able to just open the .CRASHED file in AbiWord via File->Open or the open folder icon on the toolbar.I meant to say that I had deleted the mail message regarding CRASHED files, not that I had deleted my CRASHED file. I still have that.If you deleted the .CRASHED file, there's nothing we can do for you.
http://www.abisource.com/help/en-US/Where is the other documentation? I haven't found anything about CRASHED files.3) I think it would be a Good Idea to add the answer to the FAQ. Agree?Yup. I think it's in our other documentation at the moment, but it might not be in the FAQ.
We've got a fair amount of user-level documentation, which should also be installed on your harddrive. Of course, this documentation is incomplete, some parts are outdated, etc... But it's a good start and will be improved upon shortly. Using the menus, you can get to it via Help->Contents or something like that.
All you need to know about CRASHED files is that you can just reload them via file->open and start editing from there.
