Doh, ok, if I can do that on an address in the footer of an email I can also do that on an address in the to, from, or cc header. Takes a while to sink in sometimes -- sorry for the noise! Since this entire capability was not recognized by me and maybe some others, should we publicize it somehow? -- Tomorrow (probably not today, but I might get a chance) I'll go check the TWiki -- if there is an FAQ related to "replies to the list" I'll add something to it mentioning this capability in some email clients and list kmail -- if you know of others let me know, or add it (them?) to the list on the TWiki.
