If you have a field declared as a memo type, you can include it on a form and
can have data entered in it as with any other field type; you cannot do a find
or filter operation on any of the memo field's contents, but you can enter it.
The main problem I have found with reports is that if it is in a table linked
in with a query, it may get truncated, and I believe my solution there was to
have the memo field in a subreport rather than in the main report.

Subject: [AccessDevelopers] need help in memo

Hai,
I hope memo cannot be handled as strings(text).
I want to get the long message in text box and store in the table in
access database. This cannot be achived with text datatype, as it can
hold only data upto 255 characters length. The only option is to go
for memo. Can anyone help me to know how to store the message from
text box to the field with memo datatype and also how to retrive memo
data in report.
                                Selva
