I remember seeing someone from this website join the group some time (a year or more) ago.  I visited the website then and saw they were culling our posts.

To be quite honest, I don't see a huge issue with it.  I think we require membership in this group to maintain some level of identity among members and order in the group.  We're not dealing with National Security or anything, just some code.  I don't know that there's any level of recourse, anyway.

The real problem is spammers, and I think we do a pretty decent job of keeping them at bay.  I belong to a lot of groups on Yahoo!, and many (most) of them don't police spammers at all - so the postings are largely junk.

I wasn't aware the the archives were public.  Is there any downside to privatizing them?

Subject: [AccessDevelopers] Did any one know about this site?

It appears that our assistance to each other is not among our selves.

I just performed a search at the soon to be new Google and found all of our postings (without required log in) at

http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg02260.html

I don’t know if this is supposed to be this way but I don’t feel that yahoo (or whom ever is forwarding this information to www.mail-archive.com) has our best interest at heart.
