The February Townhall is scheduled for Tuesday, February 5, at 10:00AM
CDT (16:00 UTC). We will discuss topics of general interest to the community,
including the AG and collaboration in general, and AG3 in particular.
This is an open forum for the community to air issues, new
collaborations, and innovative ideas; please come prepared to
participate. We also have two guest speakers this month from a distance
education project:

Speakers: Edee Wiziecki, Co Principal Investigator of ICLCS
George Estes, Lead Tech for the ICLCS project

The Institute for Chemistry Literacy and Computational Science (ICLCS)
http://iclcs.uiuc.edu

The ICLCS is funded through an NSF Math Science Partnership grant and is a
program of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with our 100+ K-12
partners, Regional Office of Education #38, and A-C Central School District.
The
Institute seeks to prepare rural Illinois chemistry teachers for the 21st
Century through content, computational tools and teaching methodology, and
leadership development.

As part of the program the Institute will be placing up to 120 PIGs in K-12
schools to further teacher development in rural Illinois. The Institute has
also installed Access Grid nodes in 4 Regional Offices of Education across the
state.
