Hi,

The issue may be with your AG3 Client rather than your server (the server just
tells the client where to connect in AG3 - the client connects to the Jabber
server).

To test the client side connection with Psi:
1) Open Psi but don't connect.
2) Go to the Psi menu and click on "Account Setup".
3) Select your jabber.mcs.anl.gov account and click on "Modify".
4) Select the "Connection" Tab.
5) Tick the box labelled "Use SSL Encryption". The "Port" at the bottom should
become 5223.
6) Click on "Save" to save this.
7) Try to set your status to "Online". You should get a message about the
server having a self-signed certificate. Click on "Continue" to get past this.

If this doesn't work, this is probably the problem. If this does work, it
still does not guarantee that your AG3 client can talk on this port. If the
above does work, try disabling any firewalls on your computer temporarily (but
remember to turn them back on!). This will verify if it is a firewall or not.

Andrew :)
