I forgot to mention one thing. In the internet explorer, tool menu, options, in the general tab, there is a settings button for temporary internet files. when this button is pressed, a dialog appears, first with four radio buttons for selecting how frequently I E should check for updated versions of webpages it has visited in past. This was on the Automatic option in my system and i dont remember i changed the default setting. So, was this the culprit to show me the older version of webpage on my computer?

The internet connection was working then and also my internet explorer was not set on work offline. I use Windows xp with SP2 and Internet explorer 6. I have also marked this particular website in question for offline browsing in the Add to favourites menu. So this website is normally available for offline browsing even if internet connection is not working. Also do anybody had any such experiences where their computer was showing old webpage while at the same time other computer was showing the updated page. thanks in advance, Pranay Gadodia, Content Research Officer, Score Foundation. 125B, Shahpur Jat, New Delhi - 110 049 INDIA.
