Yes, they should. According to CCPD decision as well as hopefully according
to pending high court case of Mr. Pincha, RBI is dutybound to promulgate
non-discriminatory guidelines for VIPs for handling accounts. Unfortunately
in our country pervading apathy even to court decisions is working to the
detriment of many, not to mention VIPs who due to their lack of any pressure
group and capacity to lobby are the worst hit. In all the bombastic talk of
so-called financial inclusion, there is no mention of Visually impaired or
disabled at large.
