hello,
To configure Cortana:
1. Open the Start Menu
2. Search for “Cortana” without the quotes
3. Activate “Cortana & Search” Settings. A wizard opens in the Start
Menu area through which you can configure Cortana. Within this Wizard,
configure the following:
(I) The first screen asks if you’d like to use Cortana. Activate
“Next” to move to the next screen of the Wizard
(II) The privacy notice is accepted on this screen by activating the
“I agree” button
(III) If not already enabled, Cortana needs access to “Speech, inking
and typing personalization.” To enable this setting, activate the
“Yes” button
(IV) The next screen asks for the name Cortana should use for you.
Input the name by which you’d like Cortana to call you in this edit
field and press ENTER (V) Cortana needs access to your location
settings. If the location settings aren’t enabled, you’re offered the
option to open the Settings. Activate the “Settings” button. Here The
Location settings window is opened with focus on the Change button The
change button changes the status of location servicesActivate the
“Change button” and toggle the location services on with the button.
Now Close the settings and return to the Cortana settings via the
Start menu
(VI) With location settings enabled, Cortana completes setup and
offers you an option to close the wizard with “Got it” or review the
items tracked in Cortana’s notebook.

I am successfully using it and love to work with her.
