Sometime back, I heard of a free app on play store which gives ultrasonic sound, which dogs don't find pleasing so they leave the place. You can also try that, although its efficiency in keeping dogs at bay is not guaranteed. But there's no harm in trying the same as you'll have only to gain and nothing to lose.
