The upcoming Inclusive Stem Confluence 2020 will bring together people with and without disabilities. The event will showcase talents of disabled students and professionals. In addition, it will also give them a platform to learn new things. Inclusive Stem Confluence 2020 is scheduled for 17 and 18 January 2020. On its third year, organisers are again expecting a huge turnout this year. This January, Bengaluru will become the host for Inclusive Stem Confluence 2020. This inclusive event will bring together people with and without disabilities to check out latest technologies, learn new things and make the best out of computers and science. Inclusive Stem Confluence 2020 is the brainchild of computer expert Kartik Sawhney who is visually impaired. Kartik is currently working as the Software Engineer in the United States. In addition, he is also a disability rights activist who hopes that Inclusive Stem Confluence 2020 will make a positive impact in the lives of many people with disabilities across India. The 24 hours event will be held at the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) in Bengaluru on 17 and 18 January 2020. 2. Job- One post for Visually Impaired as Assistant Professor, department: English/Journalism in Bharati College, University of Delhi. Qualifications: 1) A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant /allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.2) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR (exemption from NET shall be granted in accordance with clause (ii) & (iii) of General Note in the last section of thisdocument).OrB. The Ph.D.degree has been obtained from a foreign University/Institution with a ranking among top 500 in the world University ranking (at anytime) by any one of the following: (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) The Times Higher Education (THE) or (iii) The Academic Ranking Of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai). Note:The academic score as specified in the screening guidelinesfor the Collegesof the University shall be considered for short-listing of the candidates for interview only, and the selections shall be based only on the performance in the interview.
