App aims to academically empower visually impaired students.
An Android-based application (App) built on the basis of a technology
innovation promises to academically empower visually impaired students
by freeing them of their dependence on scribes while writing exams.
The Swalekhan (self-writing) app is a tech offering conceptualised by
the city-based Niwant Andh Mukta Vikasalaya, an NGO that works for the
betterment of the visually impaired individuals, and developed by Josh
Software, a Pune-based IT services company specialising in providing
global tech solutions, in conjunction with Tekvision, a leading
accessibility service provider whose workforce comprises a significant

2. Job-
Fourty posts as Apprentices in different trades (for Non-ITI & ITI
candidates) for Visually Impaired in Government of India, Ministry of
Defence, Ordnance Factory Board, States: Madhya Pradesh, Uttarpradesh,
Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu, Orissa, West Bengal, Maharashtra.
Qualifications: For Non-ITI Category: Should have Passed Madhyamik
(class X std or equivalent) as on date of notification for applying
with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and with 40% marks in Mathematics
and Science each. For ITI Category: Should have passed relevant trade
test from any institute recognized by NCVT or SCVT or any other
authority specified through Gazette notification of Ministry of Skill
Development and Entrepreneurship/Ministry of Labour and Employment
with duration as per the Apprentice Act 1961 plus passed Madhyamik /
Class X std or equivalent (Minimum 50% aggregate marks both in
Matriculate / Class X std and ITI). The relevant trade to be
considered will be strictly on the basis of Schedule I of Apprentice
Act 1961 (and amendments thereof). The candidates are advised to
gather specific information about the Ordnance Factory, where one
intends to apply to, by visiting the link http://ofb.gov.in > OUR
UNITS > under Factories. This will give an idea to the candidate about
the location, products, facilities available in the specific Ordnance
