Hi,
I have personally demoed these bars and they are pretty good.
JBL 9.1, a 5.1.4 soundbar supports both ATMOS and DTX, has rears that can
detach and can run wirelessly, need to be connected to the bar to recharge
though, but they do last a fare while, about 10 hours or so before that's
needed.
A major highlight for this one is the 10 inch sub that is capable of
rocking your world, should you let it. Used to own this one, pretty good.
tad bit expensive though at 99 98k, when I bought it was around 76k, with
80k as it's MRP, you have the government to thank for these prices, though.
Jbl 5.1 is also pretty great if the 9.1 is beyond your price range, has
the same 10 inch sub, the wireless speakers that can be attached or
detached from the bar as you wish same as the 9.1, the only thing is that
it doesn't support DTSX and Dolby Atmos, but is a good 5.1 channel bar none
the less. used to be 50 49k, usually goes for 67k 70k now, again, you know
who to thank for the prices. πŸ˜‚
Talking about the prices in 20k to 40k, I have a few more to suggest, that
I have listened to myself.
Sony ht-s40r, decent 5.1 channel bar that has a decent bass, wireless and
pretty decent sound over all for it's asking price, no atmos, dd+ 5.1
though.
Sony HT-S700RF, this one's pretty good with it's tallboy rear speakers, the
drawback is that it's wired, but the sound pretty much makes up for that,
if you can run them cables to the rears from your placement, After the jbl
5.1 9.1, this would be my go to.
For all those who aren't looking for a soundbar, logitech has a pretty dam
good set of 5.1 speakers the 906 that are pretty awesome, again the wires
are an issue, no bluetooth, no hdmi but man, the sound at 23k or so, you
could find these before at 18k or so, these will beat anything under 30k
hands down without sweating it any. would be my first pick if I could only
manage cabling in here. but alas, the woes of when you rent.
Should you have any questions/ looking for something else in a lower
range, do let me know, as I have done a fare bit of my research whilst
purchasing one of my own.
P.S. I haven't had the chance to demo it, but if you can go for it, I'd
suggest giving the Samsung Q950b a try, as I have heard great things about
it, and it is similarly priced to the JBL 9.1, if you are thinking about it
at all, let me know your experiences if any.
