Hi Amar,

If I am not wrong, our tax submission portal is an government website.

According to India | Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) - W3C
<https://www.w3.org/WAI/policies/india/>, all the Indian government
websites must be WCAG 2.0 Level A compliant.

And, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0
<https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG20/> defines how to make Web content more
accessible to people with disabilities. Accessibility involves a wide range
of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive,
language, learning, and neurological disabilities. Although these
guidelines cover a wide range of issues, they are not able to address the
needs of people with all types, degrees, and combinations of disability.
These guidelines also make Web content more usable by older individuals
with changing abilities due to aging and often improve usability for users
in general.

It is mentioned in the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites manual
<https://cdnbbsr.s3waas.gov.in/s3c92a10324374fac681719d63979d00fe/uploads/2020/03/2020032611.pdf>
that the guidelines are based on the recommendation of W3c.

And, Introduction to Web Accessibility - W3C
<https://www.w3.org/WAI/fundamentals/accessibility-intro/#:~:text=Web%20accessibility%20means%20that%20websites,contribute%20to%20the%20Web>
clearly states that, The Web is fundamentally designed to work for all
people, whatever their hardware, software, language, location, or ability.
When the Web meets this goal, it is accessible to people with a diverse
range of hearing, movement, sight, and cognitive ability.

Hope this helps.

Thanks and regards,

Amena
