Hi, I am using Toshiba.
There is an option called, Toshiba power saver, where we can set different
profiles.
There are already some profiles given such as current power, max battery
etc.
Actually, in the different profiles, we can set, the display, brightness,
intervals of the machine's fan etc. This is to use less power, while running
on the battery. Try and check, if such feature is available there too.

could always try the laptop battery saver from
http://www.techno-vision.co.uk which is what I do.
As for time, I have got about 2 hours extra. A lot depends on what you

doing with the laptop and the condition of the laptop battery.
