This is in response to the BSNL Broadband manual configuration query.
Sir, use the short cut and arrow keys to go to my network places on
the desktop. Then press the applications button and find your way to
properties. Press tab twice or thrice until you reach create a new
connection. Then hit enter. This will open up the new connection
wizard. Hit enter on next. You will now be required to deal with a few
radio check boxes or whatever they may be known as. In the first of
these, select connect to the internet and hit next, then select set up
my connection manually, and then select connect using a broadband
connection that requires a user name and password. You will now be
required to write the name of the ISP. Write DATAONE or whatever you
deem fit and proceed. Enter your user name and password and you should
be hopefully done. Remember to have a shortcut on the desktop. You
will be prompted to check a certain box in this regard when the
connection has been created I think. If the power, LAN and ADSL lights
glow on your modem, I guess you will then be able to connect tto the
internet.
I’m not sure if this will help. I only wrote because this works fine
on my desktop and laptop.
Regards,
M.
