Hi!
Before answering to your question, please let me know that you are using the
modem on lan card or on USB port. Because the installation CD is require
only and only when you use your modem on USB port. If you are using it on
LAN card, then do the steps which moiz told you. Next do some additional
configurations. Go to control pannel/network connection. Here find local
area connection. Press alt enter on it and the property dialog will open.
here, find internet proto call tcp/IP. by pressing down arrow. then press
tab for property button and press space bar on it. Select use the following
IP address radio button. Press tab and enter the following IP address.
192.168.1.100. Then press tab for 2 times for default getway and enter the
following 192.168.1.1. Press tab again for 2 times and enter the following
in preferd DNS 218.248.240.208. Then enter the following in alternet DNS
218.248.255.193. Then tab till ok button, press enter or space on it and
then press close button. now your connection is configured perfectly.
Sorry for such a long poste. But I think it will be beneficial for other
BSNL users also.
