Respected Sir, Before I start, I would like to tell you that VLC is not fully accessible. But in most of the cases, it works well with narrator.
Coming to the point of keyboard shortcuts, Please do as mentioned below: 1. After opening VLC Media Player, Press ctrl+P from the main window of VLC. In case if you are unable to open by pressing ctrl+P, please start narrator, and go to tools>preferences from the main window of vlc. You can also try "Alt+T+P". 2. Once you reach to preference window, you will hear a radio button "Preferences show simple" or simillar... If by default you are not there, please use tab untill you reach there. 3. Once you reach to that radio button, press up down or right left arrow, And you will hear "Show preferences All" radio button checked. Now after doing this, press tab untill you reach to treeview. Here also, you won't hear "treeview". It is right after cancel button. Press down arrow key once or twice to make sure that you are in a treeview. The first option in tree view is "advance". Press down arrow till you reach to "Interfaces". Once you are there, press right arrow twice for expanding this treeview. You should get on to "control interfaces" which will be heard by your screen reader. Now, press down arrow once, and you will reach to "Hotkeys settings". Press tab three four times, you will hear "full screen" which is also in a treeview. There are 101 items in that tree view. Now suppose you wish to know the shortcut of stop, go to stop by pressing down arrow key in that treeview, and once you are there, press tab twice and stop when Jaws or your screen reader says "Read Only Edit". It should read the shortcut, but if it doesn't, then press once down or up arrow in that read only edit box, you will be able to hear that particular shortcut for that specific function. I could have told you the main shortcuts, but this method though bit boaring, will give you complete list of shortcuts available in vlc. If you face any problem, please let me know. Please remember, Jaws may not speak in some settings window. Please try to use insert up arrow, if it doesn't speak anything, go ahead leave that option. Because if it doesn't speak then we are not concerned with it. Then we have to go to next option.
