Hi,
Make sure auto run facility is disabled in your computer in future. Always scan the external disks before opening them. 99% of the viruses act through auto run only.

I don't scan my pc regularly. I thought it a virus too because the problem was gone for some time after I scanned my pc. But it reappeared. I am afraid, some autorun virus has infected my pen drive amd my nod32 can't clean it perhaps.

Hello
Are you scanning your system regularly? I am asking you because once I had the same problem in my office PC, after removing the virus by reformating all drives of the system, it could be rectified.

Subject: [AI] Problem about Unusuable USB Port and Unknown Device.

Hello,

I am getting an error message from this morning on my home pc. The text of
the message is, " One or more devices are malfunctioning. Try to reconnect
the device or reinstall it." Two devices are shown: unusuable USB port and
some unknown device.

I have checked the device manager and disabled the unknown device. There
is nothing like an unusuable port. The most disturbing thing is that Jaws
keeps on repeating the error message and I can't do anything.

Please suggest a solution.

Best Regards,

Amiyo Biswas.
