very strange indeed. I must not be too quick to negate this story straight away, but certainly haven't heard of such a rule. yes, companies are supposed to higher at least 2 percent of the employees with disabilitiy, but most of companies do not follow this rule. however, recently supreme court has sent the notification to job sectors for the implementation of 2 percent quota of the disabled.

Hello Salman,

Welcome to this group. I am using this list because I would like to ask you something which might be of interest to all of us. Recently I attended a seminar organised by NIVH in Kolkata. One of the speakers, Smt. Aloda Guha, told the house that in Pakistan, there is a rule that if a company has 20 or more employees, it is bound to employ at least one disabled person. Otherwise, the company will have to send to the state exchequer the salary of one employee every month.

Best Regards,

Amiyo Biswas.
