Dear Friends,

I did attend the SBI Exam for Clerical Cadre yesterday. I was not
denied an opportunity to give my exam as my scribe was only 10th pass
with less than 60% marks, which was anyway tough to manage.
But, on the other hand, the authorities in the centre were very
stringent and made it very clear that the scribe should be only 10th
pass with less than 60% and that those who are not satisfying this
criteria should surely leave the room.
There was one candidate in my room who was denied permission to write
the exam with his scribe. The authorities however, provided the
candidate with their own scribe which was not of great help to the
candidate as the scribe was not able to even read out the questions
properly. The candidate was left with no other option than to leave
the room submitting his incomplete answer sheet.
The situation was pathetic, as I am sure, that the candidate must have
put in much efforts and also must have had ample hopes towards his
employment opportunities. But, all just in vain.
Of course, who would take responsibility in such issues? This is just
1 case which I came across. There must be many such cases of this
sort.
I myself was not permitted to write SBI Exam conducted on 1st of March
this year due to this scribe issue. I was just asked to leave the room
even after I was provided with the Answer Booklet which was
undoubtedly painful.
As Rajesh Sir rightly suggested, there should be some system which
should be brought in and implemented so that Visually Challenged
Candidates do not give up their hopes due to this scribe issue which
is turning out to be disadvantageous rather than an advantage.
My sincere apologies to each and everyone in the list for having
written such a lengthy mail and taking your precious and valuable
time. It is just out of disappointment and agony that I felt like
bringing this to the notice of knowledgeable members.

Thanks & Regards,
Chetana.
