Dear Subramani sir: It's true that not a narrator, but Windows irritator. But the same helps when the JAWS doesn't work. It's very much improved in Vista, and hope for the same in Windows7 since I haven't tested it with my own hands. To stop narrator from speaking, Place the your curser on the narrator and press Ault F4, it'll ask you to close Narrator and select yes to close and it'll go.
