Have you tried manually starting the download in FDM (shift+s)? Did
you have a look at the settings in the download manager for any
changes that might have occurred without your knowledge? Did you try
using the inbuilt download manager in the browser to download the
file?
Sorry for asking so many questions: just trying to find out if some
starting point can be found
