Searching the document is a tough task, I have given it a try.
Will retry, but it would only be useful for availing some paltry allownace of
a couple of hundred a month or so, that too, after going through a lot of
formalities.
He has to appoint a reading assistant, bear the cost at present.
What's the problem?
Are school authorities not comfortable with idea of evaluating papers with
assistant?
Are they imposing their own assistant?
Or, is the cost the only matter?
Or, else, he does not want to evaluate the papers due to failing eyesight?
The last is not an option, and GR would help only in monetary terms that too
with difficulty.

Sir,

It would be good if you can find the documents and let us know ASAP because
exams are round the corner and he would need to know the provisions as soon
as possible.

We sincerely thank others for giving their views on the subject.

Appointing a reading assistant is the right solution.
However, such an assistant should be freely chosen and may not be imposed.
Some allowance is given by Maharashtra government to VI teachers.
To find the required GR in Marathi, is somewhat a tough task, however, I
will try it, and its practical implementation and availing such an
allowance regularly is altogether another story.
Even UGC gives some monthly allowance to VI lecturers, or rather, I should
properly say, assistant professors now, however, it has to be claimed in
general grants for five years and hardly a few professors are actually able
to avail it, at least in my knowledge.

Should there be no monitory help from the employer?
What Law or past judgments or any circular say on this?
Or Income tax rebate for disabled is there because to bear such cost?
Thanks
Mukesh

Yes, it is his responsibility to evaluate exam papers of his subject.
We, in Delhi, evaluate our exam papers with the help of sighted persons and
pay the costs. But school authorities can't force him to appoint any person
of their choice for that purpose.
