Yes, I too think it to be the same problem. In AI mailing lists, especially in the digest mode, I remember that the message starts with an option to unsubscribe/change subscription options before the contents for the day is displayed. So, I think the above mentioned person is simply reading that subscription message, and responding to it. It would be nice if the moderator can send in an E-mail to the personal ID of the concerned person explaining this.
