Well, needless to mention you always get a splitter with the DSL modem,
don't you?

Vikas Sir,
In that case you must be having a splitter which would have allowed you to
use both simultaneously?
This was the recent problem with me, and there were various solutions
available on net, but my problem was same i.e., parallel line. So my BSNL
deputy engineer told me either to get splitter or to remove landline.
Otherwise the link will drop due to disturbance in line.

Hi Harish,
While it is strongly recommended that there shouldn't be any parallel line
when using broadband connection, it is no way essential, for I always used
my broadband connection when I had, when even phones were being operated
simultaneously.

most of the time it happeneds due to faulty connection not because
your computer. so you should contact to the servis provider instead
of trying something your self.
as far automatic connection is concern, then there is an option is
available on the connection tab on internet explorer you need to check
that check box that indicates the automatic conactivity of the
connection .

Hello all,
Hope all are doing well!
Help me out in solving my problem.
Few months back I took a broad band connection (BSNL), The technician
didn't set the internet connection to start up, due to which, I have
to connect to the internet manually. At times it becomes very
irritating as the network connections fails very frequently these
days.
Is there a way out?
Can I change some settings on my own or have I to contact the BSNL
person?
Please give me the proper steps to change some settings if any. Also
tell me is JAWS works properly in such dialog boxes or not.
Please help.
