Hello Madam,
I think, changing of setting is not the solution of your problem.
If your net is getting disconnected frequently, it means, your telephone
line is getting earth only because the plastic cover of under-ground cable
of your telephone line has already been cut from various places.
To avoid the problem, you should have to ask your SDO of telephone exchange
to change your telephone line as soon as possible.

It is essential, there should not be any parrell phone connection inside
your house while using broadband.

most of the time it happeneds due to faulty connection not because
your computer. so you should contact to the servis provider instead
of trying something your self.
as far automatic connection is concern, then there is an option is
available on the connection tab on internet explorer you need to check
that check box that indicates the automatic conactivity of the
connection .
