Hello there,
Just sign in to your gmail account and it'll land you in the inbox, now make
links list and keep pressing b until you hear "basic html" press enter on it
to switch to it. As the page refreshes, make links list once again and now
search for "set basic html as default view" and press enter on it and you're
done!
