The problem can be contained to some extent by installing softwares like Mobile 
Guard which remove the junk files.

I had the similar issue and had actualy posted the query on the list. On the 
basis of the responses I got, the only option appeared to be to do a factory 
restore through the *#7370# command. This virtually formats the phone memory 
and nothing is left, including the Talks serial number.


Interestingly, however, the issue gott resolved when I updated my firmware 
to the latest update. But that is not advisable as many features, such as 
the web, email and help contents, become inaccessible with Talks and are 
likely to be fixed only with the Talks' next release.
