I had the similar issue and had actualy posted the query on the list. On the basis of the responses I got, the only option appeared to be to do a factory restore through the *#7370# command. This virtually formats the phone memory and nothing is left, including the Talks serial number. Interestingly, however, the issue gott resolved when I updated my firmware to the latest update.
