Although there is no cure for muscular dystrophy, Physiotherapy can help to
slow down the progress of the said condition.
So a qualified physiotherapist should be consulted for the same. That is
either a certificate or diploma or a degree holder V. I. or sighted
physiotherapist should be consulted along with the relavant medical doctor.
I am emphasising too much on the qualification because many quack therapists
are missguiding the patients and their care givers.
A physiotherapist through a programme of exercises can strengthen the
remaining muscles before they are affected. Although They are sure to be
affected sooner or later they (muscles) can be taught/trained to aid in
performing normal function.
