Yes it is. However it requires a great patience, the art of building a
raport with the child and motivating him/her and a thorough knowledge of the
anatomy of the muscles and their physiological functions from a
physiotherapist's behalf. a boring exercises programme can be converted in
to an interesting one for the child by setting game like objectives for the
patient.
I have a very little knoledge of Yoga but it does prove useful applied in
conjunction with the modern treatment.
Besides exercises a physiotherapist also uses electric currents of various
types but only for those who can give the feedback regarding the sensation
experienced. For a three year old child it may not be possible to apply
electrical stimulation since he/she cannot understand the nature of the
stimulation and thus cannot provide feedback. Exercises are undoubtedly
useful for such patients.
Let us hope for the best.

Hello sir,
Although there is no cure for muscular dystrophy, Physiotherapy can help
to
slow down the progress of the said condition.
So a qualified physiotherapist should be consulted for the same. That is
either a certificate or diploma or a degree holder V. I. or sighted
physiotherapist should be consulted along with the relavant medical
doctor.
I am emphasising too much on the qualification because many quack
therapists
are missguiding the patients and their care givers.
A physiotherapist through a programme of exercises can strengthen the
remaining muscles before they are affected. Although They are sure to be
affected sooner or later they (muscles) can be taught/trained to aid in
performing normal function.
Being a physiotherapist i can guide if needed during the treatment
procedure. Please feel free to contact me.

Hello All

Dear Friends
One of my friends 3 year old daughter is just detected with the disease
called Muscular Dystrophy.
Would like to know if anyone of you know anything about this disease &
any treatment for the same.
As few of the doctors have told that there is no treatment for this
disease, or stem cell therapy can treat this.
Hence any information on this will be of a great help to us.
Also if there is any institute or NGO for people suffering from this
disease, then do let us know about the same.
If there any trust or institutes which provide financial assistance for
the treatments to be carried out than, do pass on the information with
their contact details too.
Looking forward for a positive reply.
Thanking You
Regards
