Separate department? It'll do more harm than good to the disabled community. The government will not allocate adequate funds for the proper functioning of the institutes for the disabled. In Andhra Pradesh, we were part of the social welfare department and there was no dearth of funds. When a separate department was created for the disabled, there were many expectations but the department has become dull now.
