after looking at these continuous on and off complaints against C5, I've
started feeling C5 is a problematic phone.

Hai friend hit talks and then hold down key 1. This will bring up your
talks settings. First turn off magnification at the magnification page.
Then go to automation page by pressing right navigation key and turn off
say caller ID. Your problems will be solved.

Yes, of course I activated ringing type ringing and
the profile which I am editing was in activating mode only.
With regard to second problem,
When I pressed talks key plus call button. Talks is announcing time
and date. The same is happening when I press talks key and 9 also.
If I hit talks key and star, talks is announcing screen mode is
distributed mode. If I again hit talks key and star, talks is
announcing screen mode is full mode. More than that, nothing is
happening.
hi, your first problem is relates with profile settings .
make sure that you have set the ringingtype ringing, ringing volume
whatever you like, and finally, make sure that profile you are
edeting, should be activated by the option available "activate"
your second problem:
talks is changing the zoom settings instead of speed this is because
you have have activated magnification by mistake .
just press talks key+the call button to turn off the magnification and
then try the same.

I have doubts with regard to C5.
when someone calls me, my mobile is not ringing. it will read out the
name of the caller once and keeps quiet. after saying the caller name,
Talks is silent. it is not ringing fully. I checked the volume of
ringing. it is at the maximum extent.
it will not even vibrate. so, if I was near my mobile, I can hear the
caller's name once. If I keep my mobile somewhere, I am not able hear
the ringing sound. if I keep the mobile in my purse, at least by
vibration, I can attend the phone. but, it is not even vibrating. I
tried to change the settings with regard to ringing and vibration
also. but there is no use of it.
my second doubt is
the speed of talks in my mobile is very fast. generally, someone
suggested me if we press talks key and 7 or 8, we can reduce the speed
of talks. but, it is not working. if I press talks key and 7, display
is getting zoomed and talks is announcing zoom factor is 100% or 125%
so, friends please solve my problem. I am the new user of talks. so, I
am not able to identify the exact problem in it.

guess you've accidentally hit the wrong command. you better go to the
talks
configuration, by hitting talks key plus star and go to it's option, and
in
the view menu, uncheck magnification.
