They are trying and pushing this down our throats in Bangalore too. A fee of 1200 is charged per set up box instalation. A monthly fee of 250 is service charge per set up box. Since we have a large family with indipendant accomodation, every room has a TV, a total of 5 in number. And if we want cable for all the TV's we end up paying 1250 per month just for cable!
The bread winner of the house has decided just 2 connections need be active, all the other TV's can catch dust and go to cable heaven. Anyway, I am not that concerned about it, for obvious reasons...
