As instructed by a member earlier, get the window in question in focus, hit the
print screen button on your keyboard, go to the application where you want the
screen shot placed, control v to paste it there and you are done! If you want
to send the screen shot as an attachment, follow the same process to capture
the screen shot, open MS Paint under start, programs, accessories and then
paste the image there and save the file in the formats like JPEG, TIF etc.

SnagIt from TechSmith is a good screen capture application. It
supports capturing a region, full screen, scrolling window (useful for
long web pages), etc. I have used scrolling window captures, its very
easy. Navigate to the location which you need to capture screenshot
of. Launch SnagIt. Select the desired capture type and activate the
Capture button. Capturing a region may be difficult, I haven't tried
it yet.
