I have spoken with Abdul on many occasions. He often had intelligent and
unique queries, answers to which he sought with straight forward curiosity.
Always proactive and enthusiastic, his vision went beyond himself. A mind
always working at solving problems and seeking solutions, his death has
indeed robbed us of a source of energy and vision.

I deeply condole his death personally and hope his family find the strength
to live with the loss of a son.

I met Abdul for the first time when he was a shy teenager at NAB Jamshedpur.
The next time I heard from him was when he was giving the Symbiosis entrance
exams from Bhubhaneshwar and needed help with the writer guidelines.
After getting into a BBA programme Abdul wanted to make his teachers
understand accessibility.

Then it was the enthusiastic Abdul inspiring his college mates and making a
great presentation at the Accessindia Convention in Ahmedabad 2008.
In 2011 I saw him as a courteous host at his hotel in Jamshedpur and a great
volunteer amd motivator to the kids at NAB Jamshedpur.
Last month I heard from Atul Sahay about his placement with Wipro and was so
proud to see the transformation.
Abdul was always shy, soft spoken, enthusiastic, helpful and had a yearning
to do something for his visually challenged community.
I can at this point only bow my head in grief and tears.
We did lose someone who mattered.
