hi Padmanabham. i have used windows8 for 18 munths now and am still using it as i was a beta tester for microsoft from what i can tell windows8 is equal to windows7 in accessability only your friend will take some time to get used to the metro ui nvda is the best free screen reader for windows8 dont know about other paied screen readers i dont use them
