Jaws 14 was introduced for Windows 8 with some enhanced accessibility
feature, however, in my personal opinion, please wait for jaws15 to come and
then think to use Windows 8.
Beside the above, you have to work on tile windows in place of icon, which
is not a hard deal to use, but some freeware application such as classic
shell can bring you with start menu and convert the tiles in to a list of
programs.
As far as performance is concerned, Win 8 is better than win 7 in speed and
far better than win XP.
