Though help is always forth coming at all airports most of the time, one has to keep a sharp look out for yourself. I usually take the mobile number of the ground assistant who helps me into the airport so if no one has come to me nearing my boarding time, I can call her/him. A few years back, at the Ranchi airport, the MDLR airlines almost forgot me on the airport! The flight was all boarded and I kept waiting and then when I felt that things were getting very much delayed and no one had come for me, I just called out to someone sitting near me and asked the lady to take me to the boarding out door and then they suddenly realized that I had not boarded and rushed me into the plane! Also, once when I was traveling Jet Air, I was just left sitting waiting for the attendant while I was hearing my name being announced over and over again to report to the boarding door like " this is the last and final call for Preeti Monga"! Then I had to call the customer care number on my mobile and tell them that this is what was happening and after a long time they came rushing for me! "Oh sorry we forgot you were blind and needed help" they said! So with no announcements at airports, I really wonder how we are going to get through? Preeti
