The problem is when your signature gets forged, how is the bank going to know when it is genuine and when fake.

If the bank clears a cheque when it is forged, the bank has to takeresponsibility for that transaction. Therefore, when the signature does not match they have to return the cheque with a remark of signature mismatch.

Hello friends,
i have a different idea in this regard. If your signature agrees to
the originally given one and you have not disagriment or claim against
what is being presented and you claim that it is your signature,
especially when you personally submit it, what is wrong in sanctioning
your doccument. I think that if rejected, you can tell them that as
long as you have no problems to the slight variation, nobody can deny
you your rights. Anyhow, this is only my idea, those of our friends,
who are experts in this field may clarify whether there is anything
wrong in holding such a view.

Hi
I do understand this problem. The problem has accentuated after core
banking is deployed. Earlier, the rapport which used to be with the bank
officials has now withered away. We are talking to an anonymous person at the bank's bank's backend system personnel. Hence, they would by no means
be aware of the varience in our signature.

Until and unless we get biometric signature verification in place, there
is
pretty little that can be done.
The only suggestion that can be made is to use electronic fund transfer
etc. Agreed, it cannot be done at all instances.
