Hello Bhavani and Vamshi, Thanks for your below responses.
As far as occupation is considered, I am currently unemployed. I am currently using this break as skill development and knowledge enhancement to be able to work independently as a blind in near future. I have set my goals on marine consulting as marine industry has been my blood and sweat for last 25 years but also keeping option for IT or ITES sectors. I do understand the challenges that come with middle age realignment in such case of late disability but I am somewhat blessed in that sense as I am quiet a flexible and good learner.Just to let you know about my adaptability, I have picked up Braille very well Moreover I am financially prudent so I am able to devote quality time in my reorientation process with much less worries. I will like to put an end to this thread here and leave the floor open for more informative topic. Please feel free to contact me directly on my e-mail id ; navingo...@gmail.com as many of you have already done. Wishing you all a pleasant weekend. Thanks and best regards Navin Kumar gohil -----Original Message----- From: AccessIndia [mailto:accessindia-boun...@accessindia.org.in] On Behalf Of Vamshi. Subject: Re: [AI] Introduction - Navin Kumar gohil That was exactly going to be my question also. I know few people from professions which necessarily require vision becoming late blind and struggle to continue and unable to take another one at such stage of life. A few of these include doctors, architects, and like in the present case, marine engineers, etc. Professional rehabilitation in these cases can not stop at learning jaws and mobility. Naveen Kumar, Please give a brief of your present occupation, if any, and your future plans. Please don't perceive this as an intrusion into your personal life. This is only to understand you better and, if possible, support you in pursuit of your goals.
