Yes. I even face numerous problem while I was learning guitar. Best way to position your hand on right cord is sing any song yourself along with playing guitar or let other person sing the song for you wile you are playing guitar. and try to follow any song which you know the cord on guitar. And I recommend you that try to learn fingering notation prior to attempt any lead or plucking. Try to learn the relation chord like a e d, b, e f sarf (f#) etc. try to change your cord from a to e and to d as fast as you can. Etc..
