For Them, Disability Was Not a Hurdle. Most students who appeared for the second-year pre-university examinations are celebrating their success and here are some 'special students' who too excelled despite all odds. According to information available from the PUE Department, this year, over 444 visually challenged students appeared for the exams and 269 managed to clear them. Express met a few who managed to secure first class. Despite encountering various difficulties, challenges and trials, over 10 visually impaired PU students at 'Samarthanam Trust For The Disabled' have scored first class.
