Hello accmailers,
May all of you have a lucky year!
I have a hotmail account and I was glad to find that Mr. Jos Albores
once said "The POP3 server of hotmail is: pop.cwebmail.hotmail.com" in one
post. I tried it but unfortunately I failed.
I use "The Bat! v1.043" e-mail program as the email client; I set SMTP
server as "smtp.990.net" and set POP server as "pop.cwebmail.hotmail.com".
Now, I can send out e-mails to friends but cannot receive even one e-mail
from hotmail by "The Bat!". However, My other e-mail accounts such as usa.net &
990.net can receive and send out every e-mail by the same "The Bat!".
(Indeed, I had also tried "pop.hotmail.cwebmail.com" as POP server but
it didn't work either.)
I beg somebody of you to tell me what is wrong. Does the hotmail has
the POP3 service or not? Thank you very much in advance.
P.S. I am a newer in this list. Every time when I received the ACCMAIL
Digest, I found it always had one part, which subject is "FTPMail, Agora, etc.
statistics". I don't know what it is used for and how to understand
and then use it.
